My Story

A lifelong resident of the Westside, Manuel Chavez grew up attending our local public schools, including Pomona, Rea, Tewinkle, and Estancia High School. Manuel went on to UC Irvine to earn a degree in political science, and now works to give back to the community that raised him.

Why I'm Running

I’m running for City Council to invest in Westside Costa Mesa.

As a lifelong resident of Westside Costa Mesa, I know the issues that face our District 4 neighborhoods because I grew up here. I am a Save Our Youth alumni who went to Pomona and Rea elementary schools, graduated from Estancia High School, and eventually earned my degree in political science from UC Irvine.

In the first year of district elections in our city’s history, we need to elect a leader from the Westside. No one is better prepared to lead our neighborhoods than someone who has lived through the issues and struggles of our community.

Make sure you turn in your ballot or know your voting location:

ALL VOTERS can skip the lines and vote early at the Costa Mesa Senior Center until November 5! (695 W. 19th St, Costa Mesa)
They are open each day 8am to 5pm, and you can even drop-off your ballot!

Election Day is November 6. To vote in person, you must know your polling place:
