Manuel's Story

Currently the elected City Council Member for Costa Mesa’s 4th District, Manuel Chavez is a lifelong resident of the Westside and grew up attending our local public schools, including Pomona, Rea, Tewinkle, and Estancia High School. Manuel went on to UC Irvine to earn a degree in political science, and now works to give back to the community that raised him.

Priorities

Manuel Chavez is working tirelessly as your City Council Member to invest in Westside Costa Mesa.

As a lifelong resident of Westside Costa Mesa, Manuel knows the issues that face our District 4 neighborhoods because he grew up here. A Save Our Youth alumni who went to Pomona and Rea elementary schools, graduated from Estancia High School, Manuel went on to earn a degree in political science from UC Irvine before running for City Council in 2018.

In the first year of district elections in our city’s history, we elected a strong voice for our Westside neighborhoods. Manuel and the new City Council are now working to make historic investments in Westside Costa Mesa.
